Christian Communicators Impacting the World

This past week I had the privilege of attending and speaking at the NRB 2010 Convention, the National Religious Broadcasters annual conference. A few insights relevant for all Christ-Followers...

The Key to Living in Victory - Part 1

Have you made New Year's resolutions that you haven't kept? Have you ever repented of something, and prayed in earnest, "God, I'll never do that again!", only to find yourself committing that sin again? You are not alone, and this is something every Christ-follower experiences.

Even the Apostle Paul experienced this. Read what Paul writes in his letter to the Romans:

The Journey of a Christ-Follower

What is a "Christian"? People around the world think different things when they hear the term. Throughout history some horrible things have been done by so-called "Christians", and today movies and T.V. shows often paint their own portrait of what they think a Christian is.

The word Christian simply means "Christ-follower". Sadly, many today who call themselves Christians are not really following Jesus Christ at all.

To better understand what it really means to be a Christian - a true Christ-follower - we must turn to the words of Jesus Himself:

Things Aren't Right

I love this video by Hillsong United. As Christ-followers, our hearts should break with what breaks the heart of God.

WARNING - this will challenge you!!!

Eating the Dirt

Last night I was at a dinner for Christian leaders, and one of the most prominent pastors in the world was at my table. It was a delicious 3-course meal, and my steak was cooked perfectly.

Affairs on Facebook - A Warning to Christians

From a few real-life stories I have heard lately, Facebook is apparently a good place to start an affair.  A big part of Facebook is reconnecting with people from your past, but often for Christians, some of the people in your past are not people you should be reconnecting with.  Sometimes what seems like innocent flirting with an “old flame” can lead to the destruction of a marriage and the breaking apart of a family.  I have recently heard about 3 such cases of Christian marriages being critically damaged as a result of affairs started on Facebook.

All Christians are Slaves - But to What?

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are over 6.7 billion people in the world. According to Romans 6, all of them are in slavery.

Good to Great

There is a good business leadership book called “Good to Great”- it has been on the bestsellers list for past 2 years or so.  The study of truly great companies showed that they focused on working with their team to “get the right people on the bus, let the wrong people off the bus, and helping everyone find their right seat on the bus” before taking the bus on a journey.  This is something I am working through right now with the Christian.com leadership, and it will not happen overnight, but it is essential for us to take this community from “Good to Great”!

The Change We Need in America

The Change We Need is not political - it is revival! Repentance from sin and turning our hearts wholly to God.

This week, Christian.com is proud to be a sponsor of the Revival Conference in Atlanta, which you can watch live on-line.

‘Fireproof’ Demonstrates Strong Demand for Christian Media

The new movie Fireproof, from the makers of Facing the Giants and starring Kirk Cameron, is demonstrating once again the strong demand for media with a Christian perspective.
